Lake Land College accepts nominations for Distinguished Alumni Society

The Lake Land College Alumni Association is accepting nominations for the 2014 inductees of the Distinguished Alumni Society. This year’s inductees will join a select group of 74 members in the prestigious group.

“We look forward to our eighth induction ceremony, honoring our outstanding alumni,” said Dave Cox, director of the Lake Land College Foundation and Alumni. “Lake Land College has a rich tradition of students who made the most of their education and substantially impact their profession and community.”

Last year’s inductees include Adam Bohnhoff (class of 2004) of Effingham; Matt Bowyer (class of 1995) of Perryville, Mo; Carol Jo Fritts (class of 1974) of Greenup; Chris Rennels (class of 1999) of Urbana; and Terrall Stewart (class of 1976) of Toledo.

Those who wish to submit a nomination for the Distinguished Alumni Society should visit www.lakelandcollege.edu/alumni and explain why the nominee is a notable Lake Land alumnus.

“I encourage anyone who desires to nominate an alumnus to please do so. There are so many success stories of our alumni that we simply are not aware of and it’s very gratifying to hear those stories and be able to recognize those former students who have made a substantial impact in their field and/or their community. We look forward to a festive celebration on April 17 which we have designated as the date for inducting the 2014 members of the Distinguished Alumni Society,” Cox said.

Nominees must be graduates of or have attended Lake Land College. The deadline for submitting nominations is Feb. 15.
