It’s that time of the year for students to be thinking ahead for the summer and fall 2014 semesters at Lake Land College.
Registration for summer and fall courses begins April 2 for re-admit and current Lake Land students. For new students who have never before attended Lake Land College, registration begins Monday, April 21 for summer and April 28 for fall.
Before students who are seeking a degree/certificate can register for classes, they must meet with an advisor for advisement and clearance for registration. This process differs depending on a student’s status and is required so that students can ensure they are taking the appropriate classes for their program of study.
Current Lake Land students must login to the student Hub at http://llcportal.lakeland.cc.il.us and select the “Advisement Information” link in the upper right-hand corner to access the information they need for summer and fall advisement, including their specific registration date.
Re-admit students must complete the Intent to Enroll form found here: www.lakeland.cc.il.us/appintro.cfm, then contact Counseling Services to arrange their advisement and clearance to register.
New students must also complete the Intent to Enroll form. Once that is processed, new students will be mailed a letter inviting then to schedule New Student Orientation, where they will meet with a counselor for advisement and registration.
In addition to the regular summer term, Lake Land is also offering Intersession from May 20-June 5. Intersession offers students an intensive two-week class opportunity and is a great way to earn transferable college credits.
The regular summer 2014 semester begins June 9 and all students must be registered that date. The fall semester begins Aug. 25 and students must register by Aug. 22.
