Opportunity to ask pressing questions

If there were someone that could answer all of life’s questions, everyone would flock to them for those answers. Unfortunately, Lake Land College cannot provide such a person. However, interested students are invited to attend the LGBTQIA+ Panel occurring on campus in April. The event will take place Apr. 9 from 11 a.m. to 12 p.m. The event will be one of the much-anticipated Student Activity Board events (which are held every Wednesday). The panel will take place in the theater, located in the Luther Student Center. All who are curious and courteous are welcome to attend.

This will be an interactive panel, so the audience members will be free to ask the panelists questions concerning LGBTQIA+ topics. The panel will be sponsored by B-GLADD, Lake Land’s LBGTQIA+ club. The panel will be facilitated by Stephanie Medley-Rath, sociology instructor and co-sponsor of B-GLADD. The panelists and Medley-Rath hope to use the panel to educate Lake Land students about any concerns they might have regarding the LGBTQIA+ community. The panelists are hopeful about raising awareness on LGBTQIA+ issues and acting as a resource for any questions students may have. The panelists will be sharing their stories and experiences, but the will not be required to answer any questions that they find too personal or intrusive.

Anyone who would like to attend is welcome to sit in, and it is encouraged that they bring their curiosity.
